The value of art is difficult to overestimate. It is hard to give an exact definition because of its variety, it is complicated and accessible at the same time. But one thing is obvious: none of the societies can exist without art, and human being's life is poor and uninteresting without it.
The role and place of art in society's life is not permanent.
Some historical periods, as Renaissance or Antiquity, lived in art. In others, like Hard Ages, religions determined the social life. Due to a historical development peculiarity in our country art was playing a huge role and expressed ideas and views differed from those wich were imposed or officially recognized. People interpreted their living through art, looked for and found answers for pressing issues of their life.
